I've looked around on these forums and on YouTube where I see people with the same issue as me so I try some of the fixes that are shown but nothing has seemed to work so I've came here as a last resort. When I load up USB Loader GX the games show up so I download the images to get the box cover but when I click on the games it shows settings and start but above that it just shows a black screen although I didn't think much of it at first when I decided to start the game the screen went black and brought me back to the homebrew channel. Yesterday I downloaded USB Loader GX to try get some games from vimms lair (I saved the games as USB/wbfs/GAMENAME /GAME ID.wbfs if that helps but I'm pretty sure it's saved right). HBC is normally pretty good about USB devices in my experience, only when you try to read apps off some USB sticks it freaks out.Īnyways, good luck to you, I hope you resolve your issue.Hey I'm relatively new to homebrwwing or soft modding on the Wii, I helped a friend a couple years back but thats all. It likes to power itself off and fail to boot every so often, and I've never had a problem with it. My external drive is a random 1TB Seagate drive with a broken SATA connector (the pins are still there, it's just that the plastic it mounts to is broken off) and a hard drive (dock?) that I got from an old external hard drive enclosure that has a chip on the SATA power connector. I'd plug it into a computer to see if it has trouble installing it, as if it's a rapid connect/disconnect issue, the PC should say something is wrong with the device. It's possible whatever tomfoolery your external drive is doing is hurting it. Is it just games on the drive for USB Loader GX? The Homebrew Channel has some difficulties with SOME USB devices, mostly flash drives, even on a real Wii. Perhaps there is intermittent power causing the system to continually mount and unexpectedly unmount the volume, or something to that effect.
